The Writing Center provides high quality tutoring for all enrolled students.  Writers learn while sharing work in progress and making revisions based on feedback.  Our professionally trained staff provides one-on-one tutorials, workshops, and classroom presentations to support the writing needs of students in all disciplines.

Students from all majors and courses on campus can meet with a writing tutor at any point in the writing process—from developing ideas to drafting to revising.  For example, writing tutors can help with:

• understanding an assignment
• thesis and support
• organization
• clarity and coherence
• audience analysis
• research issues
• documenting sources:  APA & MLA citation styles, paraphrasing, and directly quoting
• avoiding plagiarism
• grammar, punctuation, and spelling
