Workshop Requests


UASP offers ASU students groups the opportunity to request a variety of options for academic support inside or outside the classroom. For more information, please see the options described below. All in-person requests require a one-week advanced notice and are subject to availability.  Student groups request a workshop must guarantee a minimun of 5 students that will attend the session.

Academic Skills Workshops 

ASU faculty, staff members, and student groups can request an academic skills workshop. Frequently requested workshop topics include:

  • Managing Your Time Effectively
  • Notetaking Strategies
  • Practicing Proper Email Etiquette

Writing Center Workshops 

UASP Writing Centers can assist student groups by facilitating in-class workshops to supplement classroom instruction. The workshops are designed to present information on a variety of writing topics and are offered on all campuses in the following areas:

  • Academic Integrity
  • APA Citation
  • Common Writing Errors
  • General Writing Tips and Strategies
  • MLA Citation
  • Peer Review Sessions
  • Tips for Research Writing 
  • Introduction to the Writing Center (5-10 minutes)


Online Writing Center Workshops 

UASP Online Writing Centers offer digital recordings of online writing workshops as a way to supplement classroom instruction. ASU faculty members and currently enrolled ASU students can request these recordings. These recordings are designed to provide information on specific writing topics that students can then apply to their coursework. Topics may continue to be added, so check back to see what’s new.
